French answer
onemanninja asked :
When did the french first surrendered in history and why did it became
a national tradition?
Once upon a time, before France was invaded by Germany, before the Eiffel Tower was built, before French women got into the porn business (which was a very very long time ago), the territory that France occupies now was called Gaul, or Celtica … i don’t really care.
Anyway, these Gauls (which are not French, they are pre-French) fought some lovely wars with the Romans (pre-Italian-gangsters) between 58-51 BC. And somehow they managed to lose (although I’m not surprised, they did fight against the mighty Caesar) and surrender for the first time.
As Gauls are the ancestors of ze slimy French, they transmitted this feature, this magnificent quality, this secret power, to the modern Frenchmen and the hairy, horny and pornographic French women (which don’t really care about wars, but they surrender to French adult movies).
So that’s about when the French (their ancestors) learned and started perfecting the art of surrendering.

It’s not the subject, and you wouldn’t understand anyway… it has something to do with culture and citizenship… Just leave it.
