Halloween

On October 31st every year, France celebrates Halloween, along many other countries.
1st of November represents the “All saints day” (la Toussaint), and it’s a day the French usually fear.

Halloween in France is rather controversial, because it is not a typical French holiday and some slimy french people still don’t understand what is being celebrated.
Because Halloween is seen as an American celebration, most French people refuse to enjoy it (d’oh, just like cheeseburgers), having decided to include it in their anti-American boycott.
But if ze french people would take their hands down and look for a second, they’d see that Halloween originated in the British Isles out of the Pagan Celtic celebration of Samhain.

So it’s not an American holiday, we just celebrate it.
Anyway, in France the kids dress up as frenchmen (you know … stripes, cigar, moustache, beret, “i hate americans” look), and ze women dress up as werewolves (or they transform, didn’t quite figure that out yet), making it the scariest night of the year (next to June 14th when Hitler occupied Paris).

Halloween is great.

We don’t boycott America here; actually, i think Americans hate us a lot more than French hate America….

Halloween, c’est une fête irlandaise à la base…

I especially hate the slimy french cheese-eating surrendering monkey-frogs.
